How to Install Addons for World of Warcraft

Addons for your Interface in World of Warcraft can prove to be very useful for quests, looting or other things. In the following guide I will explain how to install and activate your addons.


1.Installing your addons:

Once you've downloaded the addon of your choice, you will get a .rar file. The unzip .rar files, you need a program called WinRar. You can get it here:

Once you double click on the .rar file, you should get a screen like this :



You are going to want to extract these files into the following location:

  C:\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns

2.Initialising the Addons:

To Initialise (in other words, make active) your addons, you will need to do the following :

After you have connected to the server, you should see the following:



Look for an button called "Addons" in the bottom-left hand corner of the screen and click it. A screen like this should come up:



Then make sure to check the addon you want initialised and hit okay.
And now, you should be able to use your addon!
